New SMS Traffic Safeguards for Higher-Risk Destinations

To help reduce the risk of Artificially Inflated Traffic (AIT) and other SMS fraud, LINK Mobility applies traffic limitations to certain higher-risk destinations.

What is AIT?

AIT is a type of SMS fraud where large volumes of messages are generated without genuine user activity, for example through misuse of login, registration or OTP flows. This may result in unexpectedly high SMS traffic and costs.

Traffic limit

Unless a different limit applies to your account, up to 2.500 SMS per month in total can be sent to the affected destinations. The limit applies across all affected destinations combined.

If a different traffic limit already applies to your account, that limit will remain in place.

Customers with legitimate business needs above their applicable limit may request an adjustment through their LINK Mobility contact.

Please note: These traffic limitations are an additional safeguard and do not replace customers' responsibility to secure and monitor their applications, accounts and messaging flows. As AIT may resemble legitimate traffic, LINK Mobility cannot guarantee that all fraudulent or unauthorized traffic will be detected or blocked before charges are incurred.
