Use this glossary to understand common terms used in MyLINK MarketingPlatform.
A/B-Testing
A way to try different versions of an email on part of your audience, then send the best-performing one to everyone else.
Audience
A container that holds your profiles. You can have several audiences and send different campaigns to each.
Audience split
The way the selected audience is divided between the variants in an A/B test.
Autoresponder
A message that is sent automatically when someone joins an audience, such as a welcome email.
Bounce
An email that could not be delivered. A hard bounce means the address is permanently unreachable.
Campaign
A single email or SMS message you send to an audience or segment.
Click-through rate
The share of people who clicked a link, measured against how many opened the message.
Connector
A link between the platform and another service, so profile information flows in automatically.
Consent or permission
A record of whether a profile has agreed to receive email or SMS from you. This is required for sending marketing messages.
Delivery rate
The share of messages that successfully reached recipients.
Double opt-in
A subscription method that requires a person to confirm their subscription after signing up, typically through a confirmation message.
Flow
An automated journey built in Flow builder. It guides profiles through steps such as sending, waiting, and branching.
Form
A signup, unsubscribe, preference, or confirmation form you publish to collect profiles or let them manage their details.
Lead score
A points total that reflects how engaged a profile is, based on the actions they take.
Open rate
The share of recipients who opened an email.
Profile
One person in an audience, with the information you know about them.
Profile field
A piece of information stored about each profile, such as first name, country, or birthday.
Schedule
Setting a campaign to send at a future date and time, optionally repeating.
Segment
A group of profiles defined by rules, such as signed up in the last 30 days. Membership updates automatically as profiles match or stop matching the rules.
Sender ID
The name or number shown to recipients as the sender of a message
Sender name
The name recipients see a message comes from.
Subscription status
Whether a profile is currently subscribed, unsubscribed, or awaiting confirmation.
Suppression
A list used to prevent selected profiles from receiving a message or campaign.
Tag
A label you attach to campaigns to organize and filter them.
Trigger
An automatic action that runs when a specific event happens to a profile, such as clicking a link or reaching a date.
Two-step verification
An extra security check at sign-in, where you confirm a one-time code in addition to your password.
Two-way SMS
Automatically replying to incoming text messages based on a keyword.
Unsubscribe
When a profile opts out of receiving further messages.
Web tracking
Following what visitors do on your website to understand their interest and build their lead score.
Webhook
A way for the platform to instantly notify another system when something happens in your account.
Win condition
The criterion used to determine which variant wins an A/B test.
