Sender ID registration requirements

To register an alphanumeric sender ID for traffic in Singapore, organizations must provide specific information and adhere to the registration requirements established by the SSIR.

Important: Alphanumeric sender IDs must be registered with the SSIR by the end client. Only registered sender IDs will reach users in Singapore. Organizations need a Singapore unique entity number (UEN) to complete the registration.

Foreign-based businesses can obtain a Singapore UEN by registering with the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA). They may also register for sender IDs through local affiliates that meet SSIR requirements.

Required Information for Registration

Organizations must submit the following details for sender ID registration:

  • Sender ID
  • Content samples
  • Company name
  • Company URL
  • Company address
  • Type of traffic (e.g., OTP, marketing)
  • Company field of activity (e.g., insurance, clothing)
  • VAT

A Letter of Authorization (LOA) on official letterhead, signed and stamped, is required. A digital signature stamp is not necessary.

Fees

Pricing varies; please contact Sales for the current rates for sender ID registration.

For more information, visit the SSIR Overview.

Additional information for partners and resellers

Partners and resellers must ensure that their customers are aware that the end customer, as the actual sender of the message, is responsible for the use, accuracy, and registration of the Sender ID. This includes ensuring that all required registrations, approvals, and supporting documentation are completed in accordance with applicable local requirements before traffic is sent.

LINK Mobility does not register Sender IDs on behalf of partners’ or resellers’ customers, unless otherwise agreed. LINK Mobility may provide support to partners and end customers throughout the registration process. Responsibility for providing correct information, obtaining any required approvals, and complying with mandatory Sender ID registration processes remains with the end customer. Partners and resellers should inform their customers of these obligations before sending traffic to destinations where Sender ID registration is mandatory.
